शैक्षणिक योग्यता (Educational Qualifications): A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. The candidate must possess valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate that he/ she is a graduate on the day he / she registers and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.
Computer Literacy: Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory i.e. candidates should have Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/College/Institute.

बैंकिंग कार्मिक चयन संस्थान (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS)) भारत की एक स्वतन्त्र संस्था है जो अन्य संस्थाओं को कर्माचारियों के चयन, भर्ती एवं मूल्यांकन में सहयोग प्रदान करती है। यह 1975 में आरम्भ हुई थी। 1984 में यह स्वतन्त्र संस्था बनी।
सन 2011 से इस संस्थान ने भारतीय बैंकों के लिये अधिकारी तथा क्लर्कों की नियुक्ति हेतु समान लिखित परीक्षा (कॉमन रिटेन एक्जामिनेशन / CWE) आरम्भ किया। जो भी सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के 20 बैंकों तथा क्षेत्रीय ग्रामीण बैंकों में भर्ती होना चाहता है उसे सीडब्ल्यूई देना ही पड़ेगा।
