शैक्षणिक योग्यता (Educational Qualifications): Candidate should be Graduate or Post Graduate in any discipline from any recognised Institution or University and preferably with CAIIB.
The incumbent should be an officer retired on attaining superannuation / voluntary retired, retired under SBP VRS, released under Exit Option scheme or who have left the Bank /Organisation otherwise before superannuation, from the services of any Public Sector Bank having worked as Chief Manager and above.

आयु सीमा (Age Limit): Maximum 61 Years.
Selection Procedure:
1. Selection will be through personal interview. A preliminary screening of applications may be carried out by the Institute to shortlist eligible candidates with reference to candidate's qualifications, suitability / अनुभव etc. on the basis of the information provided by the candidate in application and documents uploaded. While short listing the candidates, the Institute may consider additional qualifications, greater अनुभव and level of responsibilities handled.
2. Final Selection will be on the basis of marks secured by the candidate in personal interview.

बैंकिंग कार्मिक चयन संस्थान (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS)) भारत की एक स्वतन्त्र संस्था है जो अन्य संस्थाओं को कर्माचारियों के चयन, भर्ती एवं मूल्यांकन में सहयोग प्रदान करती है। यह 1975 में आरम्भ हुई थी। 1984 में यह स्वतन्त्र संस्था बनी।
सन 2011 से इस संस्थान ने भारतीय बैंकों के लिये अधिकारी तथा क्लर्कों की नियुक्ति हेतु समान लिखित परीक्षा (कॉमन रिटेन एक्जामिनेशन / CWE) आरम्भ किया। जो भी सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के 20 बैंकों तथा क्षेत्रीय ग्रामीण बैंकों में भर्ती होना चाहता है उसे सीडब्ल्यूई देना ही पड़ेगा।
