Advertisement No. -9 of 2022. भर्ती Examination, 2022 for Sub-Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) under Kolkata Municipal Corporation.

On-line applications are invited through our website www.mscwb.org from the Citizens of India for recruitment to the post of Sub-Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) under the KOLKATA MUNICIPAL CORPORATION on and from 07.07.2022 in reference of approval by Department of Urban Development & Municipal Affairs, the Govt. of West Bengal vide no. 155-25011(11) /103/2021-LSG SEC dated 26.04.2022.

1. Position: Sub Assistant Engineer (Mechanical)

2. No of Post: 13

3. Scale of Pay: Pay Level- 12 of the Pay Matrix of ROPA 2019.

4. Prescribed Qualification: (i) A diploma Mechanical Engineering from the State Council for Engineering & Technical certificate in Education or its equivalent. Candidates having qualification in higher Mechanical Engineering may also apply.

आयु सीमा (Age Limit): Age not more than 37 years on the 1st January of the year of Advertisement.

Selection Procedure

A. Mode of Examination: The Examination will be held in Kolkata center only and in two successive stages, viz. (1) Written Test (Multiple choice Objective type) (2) Personality Test, as detailed below:

(1) Written Test: 200 marks The OMR based Written Examination of 200 marks consisting of 100 multiple choices, objective type questions carrying 02 (two) marks each will be conducted. There will be negative marking of 01 (one) mark each for every incorrect/ wrong answer. Question will be set in English and time allowed will be 2 (Two) hours.

(2) Personality Test: 40 marks The Personality test will be held at the Commission's office in Kolkata. Candidates about 3 (three) times of the number of vacancies, will be called on merit basis for Personality Test, subject to obtaining qualifying marks @45% for General Candidates, @40% 0.B.C. (A) & O.B.C. (B) Candidates and @35% for S.C., S.T. & P.H. Candidates. The Commission shall have discretion to relax qualifying marks of the examination.

B. Final merit list will be prepared on the basis of total marks obtained by the candidates in the written examination and Personality test.

चयन प्रकिया: अभ्यर्थी का चयन लिखित परीक्षा एवं साक्षात्कार में उनके प्रदर्शन के आधार पर किया जाएगा।

1. Last date for Registration for on-line application and the process of submission of Application must be completed by 06.08.2022.

2. Submission of more than one applicationfor one particular post is strictlyy prohibited. The candidature of a candidate who submits more than one application for admission to the selection procedure, will be cancelled even if he/she is admitted to the same.

3. For update/ corrigendum/ Notice candidates are advised to follow our official website www.mscwb.org on regular basis.

4. Document regarding Essential Qualifications, Age, Caste, PWD certificate must be scanned and uploaded along with online application. Bonafide Certificates issued by competent authorities must be obtained within the closing date of Advertisement.
