शैक्षणिक योग्यता (Educational Qualifications):
General Manager: Engineering Graduate or MCA or have equivalent qualification from a recognized University/Institution (or) Graduation/Post Graduation with professional qualification in IT related areas.
Deputy General Manager: Graduate in any discipline and Chartered Accountant by Qualification.
Chief Risk Officer: (a) Should be a Post Graduate/Graduate from a reputed educational institution. (b) Having professional certification in Financial Risk Management from Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) (OR) (c) Having Professional Risk Management Certification from PRMIA Institute (OR) Two years’ अनुभव as CRO (OR) Having 3 years’ अनुभव in Risk Management Department (as AGM & above Cadre) will be given preference.
Chief Financial Officer: Graduate in any discipline and Chartered Accountant by Qualification.
Assistant General Manager: Engineering Graduate (Computer Science/IT) or MCA or equivalent qualification from a recognized University/Institution with any one of the following certifications: (1) Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) (2) Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) (3) Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) (or) Graduation/Post Graduation with CISA/CISSP/CISM certification will be preferred.

तमिलनाडु मर्केंटाइल बैंक की स्थापना 1921 में नादर बैंक के रूप में हुई थी, और नवंबर 1962 में इसका नाम बदलकर तमिलनाडु मर्केंटाइल बैंक कर दिया गया। 1947 तक बैंक की केवल चार शाखाएँ थीं: तूतीकोरिन, विरुधुनगर, मदुरै और शिवकाशी। बैंक सोसाइटी फॉर वर्ल्डवाइड इंटरबैंक फाइनेंशियल टेलीकम्युनिकेशन (स्विफ्ट) का सदस्य बन गया है। टीएमबी ने 1025 का प्रभावी शाखा नेटवर्क देने के लिए एचडीएफसी बैंक (531 स्थानों) और आईडीबीआई बैंक (136 स्थानों) के साथ करार किया है। 9 दिसंबर 1984 को डब्ल्यूजीसी रोड, तूतीकोरिन में पहली नई पूरी तरह से कम्प्यूटरीकृत शाखा खोली गई। बैंक ने अपनी पहली मुद्रा स्थापित की थी। 1993 में मदुरै में छाती और कोयंबटूर, चेन्नई और सिकंदराबाद में औद्योगिक वित्त शाखाएँ हैं। बैंक ने 11 नवंबर 2003 को अपना एटीएम कार्ड लॉन्च किया। टीएमबी को सिंगापुर, कोलंबो और मलेशिया में एक अनिर्दिष्ट स्थान में शाखाएं स्थापित करने के लिए भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक की मंजूरी भी मिली है।
