Skills / Eligibility

Applications are invited in the prescribed format (Online application) for the following temporary contract positions for our ad-hoc research projects at the Department of Clinical Virology, SVIMS, Tirupati.

1. Name of the post: Scientist - B (Non-Medical)

2. Number of posts: 01

3. Emoluments: Rs.56,000 + HRA

4. Essential Qualification: 1st class Master’s degree in Virology/Microbiology/Biotechnology from a recognized university or 2nd class M. Sc. in Virology/Microbiology/Biotechnology + Ph.D degree in Virology/Microbiology/Biotechnology from a recognized university.

5. Desirable:

(1) Doctorate or M. Tech Degree in Virology/Microbiology/Biotechnology from a recognized university for candidates with first class relevant degree.

(2) Additional Post doctoral research / training अनुभव in relevant subjects in recognized institute(s).

(3) Knowledge of Computer Applications or Business Intelligence tools / Data Management

(4) Two years R&D / Teaching अनुभव in relevant subject after obtaining essential qualification

(5) Work अनुभव in the Virus diagnostic laboratory/Cell Culture/ ELISA /PCR/sequencing.

(6) Good English speaking and writing skills.

6. Name of Project: ''Setting up of Nation-Wide Network of Laboratories for Managing Epidemics and National Calamities" (VRDL project)
