शैक्षणिक योग्यता (Educational Qualifications):
Professor: Ph.D. in the appropriate branch with first class or equivalent (in terms of grades, etc.) in the preceding degree, with a very good academic record throughout.

अनुभव: Minimum 10 years teaching/research/industrial अनुभव of which at least 4 years should be at the level of Associate Professor in IITs, IIMs, IISc Bangalore and IISERs or at an equivalent level in any such other Indian or foreign institution/institutions of comparable standards. He / She should have high research, training and consulting credentials.

Associate Professor: Ph.D. in the appropriate branch with first class or equivalent (in terms of grades, etc.) in the preceding degree, with a very good academic record throughout.

अनुभव: Minimum of 6 years’ अनुभव of which at least 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor, and ability to interact with a diverse student body and executives, and ability to undertake research independently. Candidates from Industry (Government / PSU / Research Organization) having अनुभव of 6 years at the level equivalent to Assistant Professor may also be considered.

Assistant Professor: Ph.D. in the appropriate branch with first class or equivalent (in terms of grades, etc.) in the preceding degree, with a very good academic record throughout.

अनुभव: Minimum 3 years of teaching/research/industrial अनुभव (exclusive period of doing Ph.D.).

Assistant Professor: Ph.D. in the appropriate branch with first class or equivalent (in terms of grades, etc.) in the preceding degree, with a very good academic record throughout.

भाप्रबंसं शिलाँग को भारत के पूर्वोत्तर क्षेत्र में अच्छी गुणवत्ता प्रबंधन शिक्षा और अनुसंधान प्रदान करने की दृष्टि से स्थापित किया गया है। पूर्वोत्तर राज्यों के मुख्यमंत्रियों के साथ जून 2004 के दौरान शिलाँग में आयोजित एक समीक्षा बैठक में केन्‍द्रीय मानव संसाधन विकास मंत्री के साथ पूर्वोत्तर में भारतीय प्रबंधन संस्थान के स्‍थापित करने का फैसला सर्वसम्मति से लिया गया। पूर्वोत्तर क्षेत्र विकास मंत्रालय (डोनर) और क्षेत्र के राज्यों के मुख्यमंत्रियों के बीच परामर्श के बाद संस्थान के लिए शिलाँग को स्थायी स्थान के रूप में मय किया गया।

देश के पूर्वोत्तर भाग की हरि‍याली प्रकृति में अवस्थित, भाप्रबंसं शिलाँग ने 2008 में कार्य करना शुरू किया, जो प्रबंधन शिक्षा और अनुसंधान में उत्कृष्टता के अपने लक्ष्य के प्रति प्रतिबद्ध है ताकि एक राष्ट्रीय और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर मान्यता प्राप्त शैक्षणिक संस्थान विकसित हो सके। उच्च गुणवत्ता वाले मानकों और शैक्षणिक दृढ़ता के अलावा, जिसे भाप्रबंसं शिलाँग का एक हॉलमार्क के रूप में माना गया, भाप्रबंसं के सतत विकास और व्यापार प्रथाओं के बढ़ते महत्व पर जोर दिया गया है। संस्थान अपने छात्रों को नैतिक मूल्यों, करूणाशील व्यवहार और समाज के लिए चिंता का सामना करने हेतु प्रशिक्षण प्रदान करने का प्रयास करता है।
