शैक्षणिक योग्यता (Educational Qualifications): Master’s Degree in English with Hindi as a compulsory/elective subject at the Degree Level or Master’s Degree in Hindi with English as a compulsory/elective subject at the Degree Level or Master’s Degree in any other discipline with English and Hindi as compulsory/elective subjects at the Degree Level. Desirable: (1) अनुभव in translation or interpretation work; and (2) Certificate in computer course recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)/National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) or courses equivalent to ‘O’ Level in terms of syllabus and duration of course as prescribed by NIELIT.

आयु सीमा (Age Limit): 35 years.

Selection Procedure: Eligible candidates will have to appear in Oration Test/Written Test/Simultaneous Interpretation Test/Personal Interview.

लोक सभा का गठन वयस्‍क मतदान के आधार पर प्रत्‍यक्ष चुनाव द्वारा चुने गए जनता के प्रतिनिधियों से होता है। सभा के सदस्‍यों की अधिकतम संख्‍या 552 है जैसा कि संविधान में उल्‍लेख किया गया है जिसमें 530 सदस्‍य राज्‍यों का, 20 सदस्‍य संघ राज्‍य क्षेत्रों का प्रतिनिधित्‍व करते हैं और महामहिम राष्‍ट्रपति महोदय, यदि ऐसा मानते हैं कि आंग्‍ल भारतीय समुदाय को सभा में उचित प्रतिनिधित्‍व नहीं मिला है तो उस समुदाय से अधिकतम दो सदस्‍यों को नामित करते हैं। कुल निर्वाचित सदस्‍यता राज्‍यों में इस प्रकार वितरित की गई है कि प्रत्‍येक राज्‍य को आबंटित सीटों की संख्‍या और उस राज्‍य की जनसंख्‍या के मध्‍य अनुपात, जहाँ तक व्‍यवहार्य हो, सभी राज्‍यों के लिए समान रहे।
