The Fertilisers And Chemicals Travancore Ltd., a multi-divisional Central PSE, and pioneer in the manufacture of Fertilisers and Chemicals, with activities spread over Manufacturing, Engineering Design and Consultancy, Fabrication etc., invites applications from eligible candidates for preparation of panel for engagement on temporary contract basis in Fact Engineering And Design Organisation (FEDO) or in any projects of FACT/ FEDO against posts listed below: भर्ती Notification No. 02/2022 1. Name of the Post: Senior Manager Design (Process) on contract basis 2. Specification: a) Degree in Chemical Engineering / Petrochemical Engineering / Chemical Technology / Petrochemical Technology / Petroleum Refining & Petrochemical Engineering / Polymer Technology with 10 years post qualification अनुभव in process design, basic & detailed engineering and vendor data review involving preparation of PFDs, P&IDs, process specifications of Equipment (such as Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Rotary Machines, Storage Tanks etc.,) & b) Instruments for Fertiliser, Refinery, Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Ammonia / Cryogenic Storage projects. The candidate should be proficient in design codes & standards. अनुभव in using process simulation software such as ASPEN PLUS, HYSYS, ASPEN EDR, Design II is desirable. 3. Remuneration: Rs.60000/- per month Rs.75000/- per month 1. Name of the Post: Senior Manager Design (Mechanical – MMH) on contract basis 2. Specification: Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10 years post qualification अनुभव in a design consultancy / EPCs, in the basic design of machinery and material handling equipment such as pumps, compressors, conveyors, bucket elevators etc. The candidate should be proficient in finalisation of procurement specifications, tender documents, BOQ etc and also review of vendor documents/ drawings. 3. Remuneration: Rs.60000/- per month Rs.75000/- per month 1. Name of the Post: Deputy Manager Design (Process) on contract basis 2. Specification: Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years post qualification अनुभव in design of piping system. अनुभव in the use of ASME code, B 31.3 (Process Piping) is desirable. The candidate should be proficient in finalisation of plot plan, planning drawing, preparing PMS & VMS, procurement specifications, tender documents, BOQ etc and also review of vendor documents/ drawings. 3. Remuneration: Rs.40000/- per month Rs.50000/- per month 1. Name of the Post: Engineer Design (Electrical) on contract basis 2. Specification: Degree in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics / Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering with minimum 1 year post qualification अनुभव in designing power distribution system and basic knowledge in drawing SLD, power and earthing layout in AUTO CAD 3. Remuneration: Rs.25750/- per month Rs.30000/- per month 1. Name of the Post: Resident Construction Manager on contract basis 2. Specification: Degree in Civil Engineering with minimum 5 years post qualification अनुभव in construction projects 3. Remuneration: Rs.35000/- per month Rs.45000/- per month 1. Selection Procedure
1. Selection will be based on interview. Management reserves the right to
(i) short list candidates based on test(s) / by adopting such other methods or criteria found suitable at its discretion and
(ii) to decide on the mode of selection. The decision of the Management about the mode of selection, requirements, eligibility criteria, shortlisting of candidates etc. shall be final and binding. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
2. Meeting the eligibility criteria / attending or being successful in the test(s) / interview etc. by itself will not confer any right on the candidate for selection or to be included in the Panel or for engagement.

चयन प्रकिया: अभ्यर्थी का चयन लिखित परीक्षा एवं साक्षात्कार में उनके प्रदर्शन के आधार पर किया जाएगा।
1. Candidates desiring to apply for the post against this notification shall fill and submit the details in the Online Form by clicking the Online Registration link provided in the website www.fact.co.in - Careers - Job Openings - भर्ती Notification 02/2022. The following shall be ensured while submitting the application through Online method.
a. All necessary data shall be filled in the Online Forms as prescribed.
b. Application Form in the prescribed format (seen as “Application Form” in the website along with notification), shall be printed, manually filled, signed, photo affixed and uploaded in PDF format in the prescribed place provided in the Online Form. Relevant data furnished in the Application Form shall not differ from the Online Form.
c. After filling and uploading the documents, the Online Form shall be submitted by clicking the Submit button.
d. Uploaded Application Form in original (mentioned in (b) above) along with certificates/documents to prove eligibility / credentials which includes selfattested copy of
(1) First page of acknowledgement mail received on submitting online Form
(2) Proof of Date of Birth (Std X certificate with date of birth)
(3) Certificates to prove educational qualification from Std X onwards (both mark sheet and Pass Certificate)
(4) Certificates to prove relevant अनुभव mentioned in the Application Form
(5) Certificate showing proof of Caste / EWS / PWBD, for claiming reservation/relaxation, if any
(6) Self Declaration by OBC-NCL candidates
(7) Aadhaar, shall be sent by Speed Post / Registered Post to DGM (HR) IR, HR Department, FEDO Building, FACT, Udyogamandal, PIN – 683 501 so as to reach us latest within 10 days from the last date of submitting online form.
e. Last date for submission of Online Form will be 4.00 PM on 19.03.2022.
1. Submit Online Form and upload Application Form prescribed on or before 4.00 PM on 19.03.2022
2. Send the original Application Form uploaded with all relevant certificates / documents by Speed Post / Registered Post so as to reach us on or before 29.03.2022
f. Envelope containing the application shall be superscribed with “Application for the post of ( ) - Ad.02/2022”.
g. Application received by post without submitting Online Form and Online Form submitted, without uploading Application Form or not receiving Application by post or Application received late, will not be considered.

कृषि ही सदा हमारी जनता का मुख्य आधार रहा है और शताब्दियों से हम भूमि जोतने तथा फसल काटकर लाभ पैदा कर रहे हैं, स्वाभाविक रूप से यह देखा गया है जहाँ कि भूमि की उर्वरता घटती जा रही थी। फसल का उत्पादन भी कम होता रहा था और इसे शताब्दी के पूर्वार्द्ध हमने देखा। हमें अपनी न्यूनतम खाद्य आवश्यकताओं के लिए आयात का सहारा लेना पडा। सत्य यह है कि हम पर उपजाए दीर्घकालीन बारंबार खेती द्वारा भूमि की अपनी उर्वरकता नष्ट हो गई है। कृषि के अधीन भूमि में उर्वरकता की असंतुलित स्थिति को पुन:स्थापित करने के लिए या मिट्टी को पुन: सख्त बनाने के लिए हमने जो जैव खाद लगाए हैं पर्याप्त नहीं था। विकसित राष्ट्रों ने अन्यथा रासायनिक उर्वरकों द्वारा इस समस्या का समाधान खोजा था और भारत में स्थित विदेशी मालिक बागान जैसे कुछ बडे पैमाने के कृषि उद्यमियों ने भी अपने निजी उपयोग के लिए रासायनिक उर्वरक आयातित किए जाते हैं।
द्वितीय विश्वयुद्ध जिन्होंने खाद्योत्पन्नों के आयात के व्यापारिक स्रोतों को समाप्त करके हमारी समस्याओं को गुरुतर बनाया और देश के कुछ भागों में प्रबल हुई अकाल दशा ने हमें बैठकर सोच-विचार करने की प्रेरणा दी। रासायनिक उर्वरक ही इसका समाधान था, लेकिन हमें तकनीकी जानकारी, कच्चेमाल या उर्वरक संयंत्रों के विन्यास संबंधी स्रोतों का ज्ञान नहीं था। उस समय ट्रावनकोर (केरल) के साहसिक एवं दूरदर्शी प्रशासक, डॉ सी पी रामस्वामी अय्यर ने इन बाधाओं को पार करके केरल के उस समय तक अनसूना एक गाँव में, एक रासायनिक उर्वरक फेक्टरी के विन्यास का पथ दिखा दिया। प्राप्य कुछ स्रोत एवं प्रौद्योगिकी एवं कच्चे माल जो इकट्ठा कर सकें। तत्काल उद्देश्य था किसी अधिक खाद्य उत्पन्न के लिए ताज्जूब पुन: पूर्तिकारक रासायनिक उर्वरक का उपयोग करना। यह जो 1944 में पेरियार नदी के तट पर स्थापित था एफ ए सी टी, उद्योगमंडल के रूप में आज ज्ञात है। यह संपूर्ण देश के उस समय के बडे पैमाने का पहला उर्वरक कंपनी था। एफ ए सी टी सौभाग्यशाली रहा था कि उसके आगे की यात्रा के दौरान इसका नेतृत्व करने के लिए बहुत ही महान व्यक्ति मिले। श्री एम के के नायर 1960 से 1971 तक फेक्ट के प्रबंध निदेशक रहे थें। वह सबसे लंबे समय तक प्रबंध निदेशक रहे और यह उनके कार्यकाल के दौरान एक नया अमोनियम सल्फेट संयंत्र, फेक्ट इंजीनियरिंग एंड डिजाइन ऑर्गनाइजेशन (फेडो) और फेक्ट इंजीनियरिंग वर्क्स (एफ ई डब्ल्यू) स्थापित किया गया था, इसके साथ अंबलमेडु, एफ ए सी टी कोचीन संभाग में एक और उत्पादन इकाई की स्थापना पर काम शुरू किया गया था।
तब से एफ ए सी टी का विकास, विस्तार और शाखापूर्ति हुई है,इसलिए आज यह देश के सबसे बड़े उर्वरक उद्यमों में से ही नहीं, बल्कि आधुनिक समय की एक किंवदंती और सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र की विजय भी है।
