शैक्षणिक योग्यता (Educational Qualifications): M.Phil/Ph.D
It is for the information of all interested candidates that Andaman & Nicobar Administration decided to recruit Associate Professor on contract basis for the establishment of Dr. B R Ambedkar Institute of Technology, Port Blair for UG programs. The details along with the application proforma may be downloaded from url: https://www.andaman.gov.in for the following posts:
1. Name of the Post: Associate Professor
2. Nature of appointment: on contract basis
3. Period of appointment: Initially for 11 months (excluding vacation)
4. No. of Post: 01
5. Department: Civil Engineering
6. Associate Professor (Contractual): Academic level 13A with rationalized entry pay of Rs. 1,31,400/- plus DA as per 7th CPC plus Dearness Allowance.
7. Academic Qualification and अनुभव:
a. Ph.D. degree in the relevant field and First class or equivalent at either Bachelor’s or Master’s level in the relevant branch AND
b. At least total 6 research publications in SCI journals / UGC / AICTE approved list of journals. AND
c. Minimum of 8 years of अनुभव in teaching / research / industry out of which at least 2 years shall be Post Ph.D. अनुभव.

Selection Procedure
1. In case the number of applications received is large, the candidates may be short listed on the basis of their qualifications higher than the minimum prescribed or such other criteria as deemed proper by the Competent Authority.
2. Interview call letters shall be sent to the eligible / shortlisted candidates under certificate of postage / speed post / registered, whichever suitable. The University shall, however, not be responsible for any postal delay / lapse.

2. The candidates will have to produce original documents relating to their age, qualifications, अनुभव etc. at the time of appearing in the interview. The Selected candidates shall also be required to produce the said documents at the time of joining the post to which they are appointed.

4. The last date of submission of application shall be 30 days from the date of publication of recruitment notice.

डॉ। बी। आर। अम्बेडकर शासकीय पॉलिटेक्निक की स्थापना वर्ष 1984 में हुई थी और द्वितीय सरकारी पॉलिटेक्निक की स्थापना वर्ष 1989 में उसी परिसर में की गई थी, जिसका नाम बदलकर डॉ। बी। आर। अम्बेडकर प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान 16 अप्रैल 2010 को किया गया। डॉ। बी आर अम्बेडकर प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान विभिन्न समुद्री कार्यक्रमों के अलावा डिग्री, इंजीनियरिंग में डिप्लोमा प्रदान करता है। संस्थान परिसर में विभिन्न गैर-औपचारिक पाठ्यक्रम भी प्रदान करता है और साथ ही इसके विस्तार केंद्र के माध्यम से ए एंड एन समूह के विभिन्न द्वीपों में फैला हुआ है। संस्थान 1999 में आईएसओ 9000 मान्यता मार्ग प्राप्त करने वाला देश का पहला तकनीकी संस्थान था, जिसे बाद में 9001: 2008 मानकों में अपग्रेड किया गया। संस्थान ने आईएसओ 14000 मान्यता भी प्राप्त की। सभी पाठ्यक्रम जो चार साल से अधिक के लिए पेश किए जा रहे हैं, उन्हें एनबीए द्वारा मान्यता प्राप्त है।
