Number of Vacancy: 25 Posts
शैक्षणिक योग्यता (Educational Qualifications):
Engineer (Chemical): First Class Graduate Degree in Engineering / Technology in Chemical / Petroleum / Petrochemicals with not less than 60% mark in aggregate of all semesters / years. SC/ST/PwBD candidates need to score a minimum 55% against reserved positions.
Engineer (Mechanical): First Class Graduate Degree in Engineering / Technology in Mechanical with not less than 60% mark in aggregate of all semesters / years. SC/ST/PwBD candidates need to score a minimum 55% against reserved positions.
Engineer (Electrical): First Class Graduate Degree in Engineering / Technology in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics with not less than 60% mark in aggregate of all semesters / years. SC/ST/PwBD candidates need to score a minimum 55% against reserved positions.
Assistant Officer (Official Language): Master’s Degree of a recognized University or its equivalent in Hindi with English as a subject at the degree level with not less than 60% Marks in aggregate of all semesters / years. Desirable: Diploma in Translation from recognized University in Hindi or should have undergone three months Translation Training course by Central Translation Bureau.
Officer (HR): Post Graduate Diploma / Degree in Human Resources Management / Personnel Management / Industrial Relations / Labour Welfare / Master of Social Work / Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent with specialization in Personnel Management & Labour Welfare / Human Resources from a recognized Indian University / Institute with not less than 60% Marks in aggregate of all semesters / years. SC candidates need to score a minimum 55% against reserved positions.

आयु सीमा (Age Limit): Maximum 28 Years.
Selection Procedure: The selection shall be made through Online Test (to be held tentatively in Chennai only) and / or Group Discussion / Task and / or Personal Interview of the short listed candidates for assessment of different facets of Knowledge, Skills, Attitude, Aptitude, etc.
Application Fee: General, EWS and OBC candidates are required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of Rs.500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) as application fee (non-refundable) though Online mode using either Debit/Credit Card or through Net-Banking only. The Bank Charges as applicable have to be borne by the candidates. No other means / mode of application shall be accepted. CPCL will not be responsible for non-receipt / bouncing back of any email sent to the candidate.

चेन्नई पेट्रोलिउम कोरपोरेशन लिमिटेड (सीपीसीएल) जो पहले मद्रास रिफ़ाइनेरी लिमिटेड (एम आर एल) के नाम से जाना जाता था 1965 में भारत सरकार और AMOCO और राष्ट्रीय ईरानियन ईंधन कंपनी (एनआईओसी) के बीच जाइंट वेंटचर की रूप में क्रमशः 74%: 13%: 13% अनुपात में शेयर लेते हुए शुरू किया गया। प्रारम्भ में सीपीसीएल रिफ़ाइनेरीमूल रूप में सी पी सी एल रिफेनाइरी 2.5 मीलियन टन प्रति वर्ष (एम एम टी पी ए ) क्षमता स्थापित किया गया और भी निर्धारित लागत से अधिक खर्च किये बिना 27 महीने के रिकार्ड समय पर 43 करोड़ की लागत पर किया था।
1985 में भारत साकार के पक्ष में AMOCO ने अपने शेयर को डिसिनवेस्ट कर दिया और भारत सरकार व एनआईओसी के शेयर क्रमशः 84.62% और 15.38% रहा। बाद में भारत सरकार ने यूनिट ट्रस्ट ऑफ इंडिया, म्यूट्चुयल फ़ंड, बीमा कंपनी और बैंक में 19 मई 1992 को अपने 16.92% पेईड अप पूंजी को डिसिनवेस्ट किया और फलस्वरूप अपने होल्डिंग को 67.7% बनाया। 1994 में सीपीसीएल के सार्वजनिक इश्यू रू 70 के प्रीमियम पर (एफ आई आई के लिए रू 90) पर ज़री किया गया था और लगभग 38 गुणा अधिक सबस्क्राइब किया गया था। इससे बहुत अधिक शेयर होल्डर्स मिले।
