शैक्षणिक योग्यता (Educational Qualifications): RA: PhD or equivalent degree in Chemistry with at least one research
paper in Science Citation indexed journal.
SRF: Post graduate degree in Chemistry selected through a process described through any one of the following: a. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIRUGC NET including lecturership (Assistant Professorship) and GATE. b. The Selection process through National level examinations conducted
by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, etc. With two years of research अनुभव
अनुभव (अनुभव): RA: PhD in Chemistry (Organic Synthesis), अनुभव in multistep asymmetric total synthesis will be preferred.
SRF: MSc in Chemistry with two years or more अनुभव in research and development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or submitted PhD thesis in (organic) chemistry, but not awarded degree.

आयु सीमा (Age Limit): RA: The upper age limit for applying for the RA shall be 35 years. SRF: The upper age limit for applying for the SRF shall be 32 years.
Upper age limit for RA-I and SRF is relaxed up to 5 years in the case applicants belonging to schedule castes/schedule tribes, physically handicapped and women applicants whereas 3 years in case of OBCs (Non-creamy layer candidates).
Selection Procedure
Candidates will be selected based on written test/personal interview/medical test/ walkin interview. Once a candidate is selected they will be placed as Research Associate I Or Senior Research Fellow in CBMR.

केंद्र की परिकल्पना वर्ष 1999 में की गई थी और शुरू में संजय गांधी पोस्ट ग्रेजुएट इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ मेडिकल साइंसेज की एक इकाई के रूप में स्थापित किया गया था ताकि बुनियादी और नैदानिक वैज्ञानिकों के बीच घनिष्ठ संबंध स्थापित किया जा सके और संभावित मानव संसाधन का पूरी तरह से दोहन करने के लिए उपयुक्त मानव संसाधन उत्पन्न किया जा सके। विज्ञान का एक क्षेत्र (चुंबकीय अनुनाद) जिसने अब तक विज्ञान के सभी विषयों में सात नोबेल पुरस्कार विजेताओं को पुरस्कार के लिए पात्र बनाया है। इसने केंद्र के लिए चुंबकीय अनुनाद के अंतःविषय पहलुओं में अनुसंधान करने और राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर उपयुक्त मानव संसाधन विकसित करने के उद्देश्य निर्धारित किए। केंद्र ने अपनी स्थापना के कुछ वर्षों के भीतर उद्देश्यों को हासिल कर लिया। क्षेत्र के महत्व को ध्यान में रखते हुए, सरकार ने इसे अपनी स्वयं की शासी परिषद और प्रबंधन संरचना के साथ उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार के एक स्वायत्त संस्थान के रूप में विकसित करने का निर्णय लिया।
