शैक्षणिक योग्यता (Educational Qualifications): lvlasters Degree in Science (Physics/Chemistry/Material Science) or Bachelors Degree in Engineering/Technology from a recognized University/Institute or equivalent with at least 15 years of अनुभव in any of the following fields:
Design and/or Construction and/or Operation and Maintenance of generating stations.
Design and/or Construction and/or Operation and Maintenance of transmission and/or supply of electricity.
Applied Research in the field of electricity.

Candidates working in Central/ State-Govts./ Electricity Boards/ Universities/ Public Sector Undertakings/ Statutory/ Semi-Govt. or Autonomous Organizations should forward their applications through proper channel with Part (B) of the format duly completed. Advance copies shall not be entertained. Incomplete applications or the ones received after the prescribed date shall not be considered. केन्द्रीय विद्युत अनुसंधान संस्थान (सीपीआरआई) भारतीय वैद्युत उद्योग का शक्ति धाम है। भारत सरकार द्वारा 1960 में स्थापित संस्थान , वैद्युत शक्ति इंजीनियरी में अनुप्रयुक्त अनुसंधान केन्द्र के तौर पर कार्यरत है तथा उत्पाद विकास और गुणता आश्वासन में वैद्युत उद्योग को सहायता प्रदान करता है। सी पी आर आई, विद्युत उपस्कर के परीक्षण और प्रमाणन के लिए एक स्वतंत्र प्राधिकरण के रूप में कार्यनिरत है। सी पी आर आई के शासी निकाय में उद्योगों व उपयोगिताओं , प्रतिष्ठित शैक्षिक व अनुसंधान संस्थाओं एवं सरकार के ख्यात व्यक्ति शामिल हैं। अन्य आधार स्टाफ के अलावा 300 से अधिक उच्च अर्हताप्राप्त एवं अनुभवी अभियंता तथा विज्ञानी यहाँ कार्यरत हैं।
