Applications are invited for filling up three (03) posts of सदस्य (Scientific), केंद्रीय भूजल बोर्ड (CGWB) in Level-14 (Rs.1,44,200 - 2,18,200 as per 7th CPC) of Pay Matrix (pre revised scale of + grade pay of Rs.10,000/- in pay band 4) by deputation (including short-term contract) under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation.

4. Deputation (including short-term contract): Officers under the Central or State Government or Union Territories or Recognised Research Institution / Universities or Public Sector Undertakings or Semi-Government or Statutory or Autonomous Organisations:
(a) (i)holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre/department; or
(ii) with two years regular service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the pay scale of Rs.37400-67000 + grade pay Rs. 8900 in Pay band 4 (pre-revised) or equivalent in the parent cadre / department or equivalent; Or
(iii) with three years regular service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the pay scale of Rs. 37400-67000 + grade pay Rs. 8700 in pay band 4 (pre-revised) or equivalent in the parent cadre / department or equivalent: and
(b) Possessing the following educational qualifications / अनुभव:-
(i) Master's Degree in Science in the field of Hydrogeology, Geology, Hydrology, Geophysics, Hydrometeorology or Chemistry or a Bachelor's Degree in Civil/ Mechanical/Agricultural Engineering / Petroleum Technology; and
(ii) 15 years अनुभव in Survey, Exploration, Development, Ground Water Regime Monitoring, Research, Training, Material Management and Management of Ground Water Resources.
5. Duties and Responsibilities for the post:
a. Policy planning and Coordination of various activities. Coordination with other सदस्यs of the Board for Overall Implementation of Annual Action Plan.
b. The work pertaining to Procurement, Material Management and Operations Progress Monitoring of all schemes, Documentations and Publications Research , Innovation with, various Institutions and Bilateral Cooperation Activities related to National Hydrology Project, National Water Mission.
c. Monitoring of Zonal & Compilation of National Ground Water Resources Assessment Application of advanced techniques including RSI GIS, Database Management e-Governance.
d. Monitoring of zonal activities related to Water Conservation, Artificial Recharge, IEC activities and training. Administration and Human Resource Management.
e. Administrative and technical supervision of the Activities of SUO, Delhi. Implementation of all the activities pertaining to the Region under their jurisdiction including Implementation of Annual Action Plan, Physical and Financial
f. Achievements, Administrative, Technical supervision of the Regional Directorates and Divisional offices.

केन्द्रीय भूमि जल बोर्ड (सीजीडब्ल्यबी), जल संसाधन मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार का एक अधीनस्थ कार्यालय है । इस अग्रणी राष्ट्रीय अभिकरण को देश के भूजल संसाधनों के प्रबन्धन, अन्वेषण, मानीटरिंग, आकलन, संवर्धन एवं विनियमन हेतु वैज्ञानिक संभरण उपलब्ध कराने का दायित्व सौंपा गया है । वर्ष 1970 में कृषि मंत्रालय के तहत समन्वेषी नलकूप संगठन को पुन:नामित कर केन्द्रीय भूमि जल बोर्ड की स्थापना की गई थी । वर्ष 1972 के दौरान इसका आमेलन भूविज्ञान सर्वेक्षण के भूजल स्कंध के साथ कर दिया गया था ।
केन्द्रीय भूमि जल बोर्ड एक बहुसंकाय वैज्ञानिक संगठन है जिसमें भूजलवैज्ञानिक, भूभौतिकविद्, रसायनज्ञ, जलवैज्ञानिक, जलमौसमवैज्ञानिक तथा अभियंता कार्यरत हैं । इसका मुख्यालय भूजल भवन, एनएच.4 फरीदाबाद में स्थित है । इस संगठन के प्रमुख के रूप में इसके अध्यक्ष हैं तथा इसके चार मुख्य स्कंध हैं; नामत: (i) संधारणीय प्रबन्धन एवं संपर्क (एसएमएल), (ii) सर्वेक्षण, आकलन एवं मानीटरिंग (एसएएम), (iii) समन्वेषी वेधन एवं सामग्री प्रबन्धन (ईडी एंड एमएम), (iv) प्रशिक्षण एवं प्रौद्योगिकी हस्तांतरण (टी एंड टीटी) । प्रत्येक स्कंध के प्रमुख के रूप में सदस्य हैं । बोर्ड के प्रशासनिक एवं वित्तीय मामलों की देखरेख क्रमश: निदेशक (प्रशा.) एवं वित्त और लेखाधिकारी (एफएओ) करते हैं । बोर्ड के 18 क्षेत्रीय कार्यालय हैं; जिसके प्रमुख के रूप में क्षेत्रीय निदेशक हैं तथा साथ ही विभिन्न फील्ड कार्यकलापों के समर्थन के लिए 17 अभियांत्रिक प्रभाग और 11 राज्य एकक कार्यालय भी हैं । राजीव गांधी राष्ट्रीय भूमिजल प्रशिक्षण एवं अनुसंधान संस्थान (आरजीएनजीटी एंड आरआई) जो बोर्ड की क्षमता निर्माण गतिविधियों का समन्वय करता है वर्तमान में सीजीडब्ल्यूबी , मुख्यालय फरीदाबाद में सक्रिय है । पर्यावरण (सुरक्षा) अधिनियम, 1986 के तहत गठित केन्द्रीय भूमि जल प्राधिकरण (सीजीडब्ल्यूए) देश में भूजल विकास के विनियमन संबंधी विभिन्न गतिविधियों की देखरेख करता है ।
