Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for filling the posts of Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in the following departments on contract basis for AIIMS, Madurai as detailed below:

1. Post Name: Associate Professor

4. Place Of Posting: Government Medical College, Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu (Temporary location of AIIMS-Madurai)

5. Essential qualification & अनुभव:

i. A Medical qualification included in the first or second Schedule or Part II of the third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in part II of third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section13 (3) of the Act).

ii. A Postgraduate qualification, e.g. MD/MS in Anatomy or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline or subject.

6. Non-Medical:

i. Master’s Degree in Human Anatomy.

ii. A doctorate degree from a recognized University.

7. अनुभव: Medical:

Six years teaching and/or research अनुभव in a recognized institution in Anatomy after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD/MS in Anatomy or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto. Non-Medical: Six years teaching and/or research अनुभव in a recognized institution in Anatomy after obtaining the doctorate degree.

8. Medical: i. A Medical qualification included in the first or second Schedule or Part II of the third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in part II of third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section13 (3) of the Act). ii. A Postgraduate qualification, e.g. MD in Biochemistry or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline or subject.

9. Non-Medical: i. Master’s Degree in Medical Biochemistry / Biochemistry. ii. A doctorate degree from a recognized University.

10. Medical: Six years teaching and/or research अनुभव in a recognized institution in Biochemistry after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD in Biochemistry or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto. Non-Medical: Six years teaching and/or research अनुभव in a recognized institution in Biochemistry after obtaining the doctorate degree.

4. Place Of Posting: Government Medical College, Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu (Temporary location of AIIMS-Madurai)

5. Essential qualification & अनुभव:

i. A Medical qualification included in the first or second Schedule or Part II of the third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in part II of third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section13 (3) of the Act).

ii. A Postgraduate qualification, e.g. MD/MS in Anatomy or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline or subject.

8. Medical: Three years teaching and/or research अनुभव in a recognized institution in Biochemistry after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD in Biochemistry or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto. Non-Medical: Three years teaching and/or research अनुभव in Biochemistry after obtaining the doctorate degree.

9. i. A Medical qualification included in the first or second Schedule or Part II of the third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in part II of third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section13 (3) of the Act). ii. A Postgraduate qualification, e.g. MD in Community Medicine or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline or subject.

Selection Procedure

Online interview via video conferencing (In case, if huge number of applications are received for any of the discipline then a written exam will be conducted for shortlisting the candidates (OR) the Selection Committee may shortlist candidates for the interview. However the decision of the competent authority of AIIMS, Madurai is final)
