आई आई टी गुवाहाटी (भारतीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान गुवाहाटी) भारत और विश्व का प्रमुख तकनीकी शिक्षा संस्थान हैं। यह संस्थान असम के गुवाहाटी में स्थित है। भारतीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान गुवाहाटी की स्थापना 1994 में हुई थी और इस संस्थान के शैक्षणिक कार्यक्रम का आरंभ 1995 में किया गया। वर्तमान में इस संस्थान में ग्यारह विभाग हैं जिसमें सभी अभियांत्रिकी एवं वैज्ञानिक विषय शामिल है। इन विभागों द्वारा प्रौद्योगिकी स्नातक, अभिकल्प स्नातक, कला निष्णात, अभिकल्प निष्णात, प्रौद्योगिकी निष्णात एवं विद्या वाचस्पति उपाधि पाठ्यक्रम प्रदान किए जाते हैं। भारतीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान गुवाहाटी ने कम समय में ही उन्नत अनुसंधान किए जाने के लिए आवश्यक विश्व स्तरीय बुनियादी सुविधाओं की स्थापना की है और यहाँ उन्नत अनुसंधान किए जाने के लिए उच्च स्तरीय वैज्ञानिक एवं अभियांत्रिकी उपकरण उपलब्ध है।

भारतीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान गुवाहाटी परिसर शहर से 20 किलोमीटर दूर 285 हेक्टैयर ज़मीन पर और ब्रह्मपुत्र नदी के उत्तरी किनारे पर स्थित है। परिसर की एक तरफ भव्य ब्रह्मपुत्र नदी है और दूसरी तरफ पहाड़ और खुले मैदान हैं जिससे परिसर में शिक्षा के लिए उपयुक्त वातावरण बन जाता है।
