Advertisement for the post of Act Apprentice in पूर्वी रेलवे (ER). Candidates are advised to read the details, and eligibility criteria mentioned below for this vacancy. शैक्षणिक योग्यता (Educational Qualifications):
i. The candidate must have passed 10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks, in aggregate, from recognized Board and also should possess the National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT/SCVT.

ii. However, for the following Trades the minimum educational qualification is 8th class pass from recognized School and the National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT/SCVT:
1. Welder (Gas and Electric)
2. Sheet Metal Worker
3. Lineman
4. Wireman
5. Carpenter
6. Painter (General)

आयु सीमा (Age Limit): The candidates should have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24 years of age (as on cutoff date for receiving application).

Application Fee: Application fees (non-refundable) is Rs.100/- (Rupees One hundred) only. No fee, however, is to be paid by the SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates).

पूर्व रेलवे का गठन 14 अप्रैल, 1952 को सियालदह, हावड़ा, आसनसोल और दानापुर मंडलों तथा समूचे बंगाल – नागपुर रेलवे को मिलाकर बने ईस्‍ट इंडियन रेलवे के एकीकरण द्वारा किया गया । बाद में, दक्षिण में हावड़ा से विशाखापट्टनम् तक, मध्‍य क्षेत्र में हावड़ा से नागपुर तक एवं उत्‍तर मध्‍य क्षेत्र में कटनी तक फैले बी एन आर के भाग को पूर्व रेलवे से अलग करके01 अगस्‍त, 1955 से “दक्षिण पूर्व रेलवे” का गठन किया गया। समय गुजरने के साथ नई लाइनों के पुनर्वितरण एवं निर्माण के पश्‍चात्, 30 सितंबर, 2002 तक पूर्व रेलवे 4245.61 किलोमीटर तक विस्‍तृत हो गया ।
