शैक्षणिक योग्यता (Educational Qualifications):
Young Professional-II: Masters in Remote sensing & GIS /Ceoinformatics/ Computer science. OR Graduate in Geoinformatics /Computer science with 4-year degree with at least 60% marks and one year अनुभव in relevant field. Desirable: Working knowledge and अनुभव of working in GIS and remote sensing.
Research Associate (RA): Doctoral Degree in Soil & Water Conservation Soil Science/Civil Engineering With specialization in Hydrology. OR M.Tech/M.Sc in Soil & water conservation/Soil Science/ Civil Engineering (Specialisation in Hydrology) with at least 4 years of Bachelor's degree having I't division or at least 60% marks or equivalent OGPA with at least minimum 3 years of research अनुभव in relevant field as evidenced from fellowship/ associateship /training/other engagement and one research paper in Science Citation Index (SCI)/ NAAS rated (>4.0) Journal.
Senior Research Fellow (SRF): M.Sc (Agri) Soil Science/ Agronomy with minimum 4 years bachelor degree. Candidates with having Master's Degree in the above subjects with 3 years of Bachelor's degree should have NET qualification and 2 years of research अनुभव. Desirable:-Working अनुभव in soil survey & mapping, data interpretation and report preparation, working अनुभव of computer (M S Office) 2. NET qualification.

ICAR-भारतीय मृदा और जल संरक्षण संस्थान (ICAR-IISWC), की स्थापना 1 अप्रैल, 1974 को देहरादून में मुख्यालय के साथ मृदा और जल संरक्षण अनुसंधान, प्रदर्शन और प्रशिक्षण केंद्रों को मिलाकर की गई थी, जो 1950 में देहरादून में स्थापित किए गए थे। , कोटा, बेल्लारी, उधगमंडलम, वसाड, आगरा और चंडीगढ़। इन केंद्रों को शुरू में सरकार द्वारा स्थापित किया गया था। भारत का और 1 अक्टूबर, 1967 को भारतीय कृषि अनुसंधान परिषद (ICAR) को स्थानांतरित कर दिया गया। इसके बाद भारतीय मृदा और जल संरक्षण संस्थान में दो नए अनुसंधान केंद्र जोड़े गए, एक म.प्र. के दतिया में। (१८ सितंबर, १९८६) बुंदेलखंड क्षेत्र की मिट्टी और जल संरक्षण की समस्याओं से निपटने के लिए और दूसरी उड़ीसा के कोरापुट में (३१ जनवरी, १९९२) स्थानांतरित खेती क्षेत्रों की समस्याओं को दूर करने के लिए।
