शैक्षणिक योग्यता (Educational Qualifications):
Medical Superintendent: i) A Medical Qualification included in the Ior II schedule or Part-II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (persons possessing qualification included in Part-II or third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section 13 (3) of the Act. ii) A post-graduate qualification, e.g.: MD or MS a recognized qualification equivalent there to OR M.H.A. (Masters in Hospital Administration) or a post graduate degree recognized as equivalentto M.H.A. by the Medical Council of India.

Registrar: (i) A graduate of recognized University. (ii) Seven years’ अनुभव of administration in a supervisory capacity or as a teacher in a University/teaching institution including conduct or examination and admission and assignment of teaching programmes for under graduate and postgraduate etc.

Executive Engineer (Civil): Officers under the Central/State/UT Governments/Universities/Statutory/Autonomous Bodies or Research and Development Organizations.

Executive Engineer (Electrical): Officers under the Central/State/UT Governments/Universities/Statutory/Autonomous Bodies or Research and Development Organizations.

Assistant Controller of Examination: Officers under the Central/State/UT Governments/Universities/Statutory/Autonomous Bodies or Research and Development Organizations.

Nursing Superintendent: Officers under the Central/State/UT Governments/Universities/Statutory/Autonomous Bodies or Research and Development Organizations.

Accounts Officer: Officers under the Central/State/UT Governments/Universities/Statutory/Autonomous Bodies or Research and Development Organizations.

Librarian: Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or Library and Information Service from a recognized University/Institute. Or B.Sc. Degree or equivalent from a recognized University and Bachelor Degree or Post -Graduate Diploma or equivalent in Library Science from a recognized University or Institute.

Office Superintendent: Officers under the Central/State/UT Governments/Universities/Statutory/Autonomous Bodies or Research and Development Organizations.

Personal Assistant: Officers under the Central/State/UT Governments/Universities/Statutory/Autonomous Bodies or Research and Development Organizations.

PA to Principal: Officers under the Central/State/UT Governments/Universities/Statutory/Autonomous Bodies or Research and Development Organizations.

Upper Division Clerk (UDC): (i) Degree of recognized University or equivalent (ii) Proficiency in Computers (iii) Skill Test Norms on Computer Typing speed @35WPM in English or 30WPM in Hindi.

अखिल भारतीय आयुर्विज्ञान संस्थान, भुवनेश्वर प्रधानमंत्री स्वास्थ्य सुरक्षा योजना (पीएमएसएसवाई) के तहत भारत सरकार के स्वास्थ्य एवं परिवार कल्याण मंत्रालय द्वारा स्थापित शीर्ष स्वास्थ्य देखभाल संस्थानों में से एक है । इस योजना के तहत पटना, रायपुर, भोपाल, भुवनेश्वर, जयपुर और ऋषिकेश में छह नए अखिल भारतीय आयुर्विज्ञान संस्थानों की स्थापना की गई जो एम्स,नई दिल्ली पर आधारित हैं ।

15 अगस्त, 2003 को अपने स्वतंत्रता दिवस सम्बोधन में तत्कालीन प्रधानमंत्री अटल बिहारी वाजपेयी ने प्रधानमंत्री स्वास्थ्य सुरक्षा योजना (पीएमएसएसवाई) के तहत पटना, रायपुर, भोपाल, भुवनेश्वर, जयपुर और ऋषिकेश में 6 एम्स अस्पतालों के शुरुआत की घोषणा की जिसका उद्देश्य देश के इन क्षेत्रों में सुपर स्पेशलिटी विषयों में गुणवत्ता चिकित्सा शिक्षा प्रदान करने के अलावा सेवा विहीन क्षेत्रों में चिकित्सा सुविधाएं उपलब्ध करना है ।

भुवनेश्वर में इस संस्थान की आधार शिला 15 जुलाई, 2003 को प्रधानमंत्री अटल बिहारी वाजपेयी द्वारा रखी गई थी । अखिल भारतीय आयुर्विज्ञान संस्थान, भुवनेश्वर को ऑल इंडिया इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ मेडिकल साइंसेज (संशोधन) अध्यादेश 16 जुलाई, 2012 को पारित स्वायत्त संस्थान और राष्ट्रीय महत्व के संस्थान के रूप में स्थापित किया गया था ।
